FreeBook Merry Grinchmas

{English below}

  5. Fertig!

Freebook Merry Christmas - english version

Last year I made this quick embroidery frame for our front door.

I have summarized everything so that not only our visitors can admire it, but also you can have a small DIY project. :)

What you need:

  • 1 embroidery frame of your desired size, here 17cm in diameter
  • 1 piece of white fabric to cover, slightly larger than the diameter of your hoop to stretch it
  • approx. 50cm pom pom border; more for larger frames
  • Plot foil, here in red and gold
  • hot glue
  • optionally a crocheted Christmas tree, here >> you will find the free book!
  • optional handicraft felt circle in the diameter of your embroidery hoop to close at the back

here we go:

  1. Plot "Merry Grinchmas" or a saying of your choice in your favorite colors and iron it onto your fabric.
  2. Stretch the fabric in the frame. After it is stretched nicely, I cut off the excess fabric on the back with a pair of zigzag scissors and glue the rest to the frame with hot glue.
  3. Optionally, you can now also glue a felt circle to the back of the embroidery frame to cover the inside of the embroidery frame.
  4. Use the hot glue gun to stick on your pompom border and your mini Christmas tree. As an alternative to the crocheted tree, a artificial  poinsettia flower would also look great!
  5. Finished!
